FSP Community Center

The growing FSP community consists of many different types of members in two basic categories: Participants (including Early Movers and First 1000 Pledgers) and Supporters (including Friends, Foreign Friends, Donors, and Endorsers).

We communicate in many ways, both virtually and in person. The FSP was born on the web, and we currently have a variety of forums available for both email and web-based users.

On Line

The FSP News is published on the 15th of the month and emailed to those who have chosen to be on the FSP Announcement or Newsletter lists. Please make sure that you are signed up for this monthly newsletter to keep you up to date with all the latest FSP activity.

Discussion Forum – our primary web forum features a variety of boards focusing on such topics as libertarianism, politics, strategy, and so forth. It is strongly recommended that you read the FAQs before posting a question on the forums. Some of the most popular questions (such as "Why a State and not a Country / County?") are answered there.

FreeStateProject Yahoo Group
The old Yahoo Group in which the FSP was born, still available as either email list or web forum, is moderated and intended for business and issues specific to FSP and its implementation. We request members who wish to discuss topics not related to publicity, the website, and related ideas visit the previously mentioned Discussion Forum or one of the numerous unofficial email lists described below.

Remember, the goal of the FSP is to get 20,000 libertarian-minded people to move to New Hampshire. What they do there is up to them, not the FSP (although we might have a few ideas!). So FSP-related topics are those related to getting people to join the FSP, advertising the FSP, fundraising, etc.

Unofficial Ad-Hoc Groups and Lists

Various unofficial e-mail lists, generally in Yahoo groups, are created from time to time. Much interesting conversation can be found there, but they are not owned by the Free State Project and might be unmoderated; we cannot be held responsible for everything said. You can generally find those at Yahoo by going to Yahoo groups and searching for "Free State Project". We cannot keep track of them all, but if you have created an email list or web forum relating to the FSP, let Community Services know and we will list it below.

• FSP-Brights - FSP supporters with a worldview free of supernatural or mystical deities, forces, and entities. All are welcome to join.
• FSP Business Builders - jobs and businesses networking for Free State Project members

   

In Person

Local Groups are certainly the most rewarding way to interact with your FSP colleagues is in person. Please see our Local Groups page for a list of all the current groups.

You can also use the FSP's informal Meetup site: http://fsp.meetup.com.

New Hampshire communities are of course of special interest. Early Movers are committed porcupines who have migrated to New Hampshire early.

Volunteer Center: We strongly encourage all members of the FSP community to not wait until moving to New Hampshire to begin their activism! The FSP needs as many volunteers as possible for recruiting and other related activities. Visit the Volunteer Center to find out how you can help.

Further Membership Information

Please keep your contact information up to date in your "member profile" in the Members Section on the web site. If you don't remember your password, click the Request new password tab and provide the email address you signed up to the FSP with.

To upgrade your membership from Friend and make the commitment to being a full Participant, go to the Join page and sign up.

To opt out of snail mail, email info@freestateproject.org with your name and email address to opt out of receiving any communication (member mailings, newsletters, etc.) by snail mail. Anything sent out by snail mail will also be made available on our website, so you won't miss out on anything.
